Clean sweep for Team Point Blank at WCFC 6
Point Blank Gym took three wins from three at WCFC 6 on November 5th, with Jason Quinn winning the middleweight title against Shaolin MMA’s Andreaas Binder.
First up was Mateusz Kopyto, who took on Szczepan Ziólkowski from Nenagh Warriors. Both fighters were happy to keep the fight standing but it was Mateusz who dominated all three rounds, showcasing some great boxing skills.
Next up was Gary Mannion, who took on Dawid Wisniosz from Fantom MMA. Gary was rocked in the first round against the experienced kickboxer but recovered quickly and came back strong in rounds 2 and 3, landing some solid strikes standing and dominating the fight when it hit the ground.
The last fight of the night for Point Blank was Jason Quinn’s title fight against Andreaas Binder. The first round was close with both fighters having some success standing and in the clinch. Jason finished the round stronger, landing a good take down near the end. Rounds 2 and 3 were all one-way traffic for Quinn, who showcased great takedowns, ground control and solid striking from half guard to take an emphatic win.
Big thanks to all our members who came and supported, it made for a great night for the club. Next up in CRC in Dublin on Sunday December 11th.
